Strictly speaking the BBC has no *opinion* per se. It does provide a
platform for the often diverse opinions of various journalists and
correspondents though.
This open method is one reason the BBC is so well regarded worldwide. It
doesn't have a political agenda of its own and one would be against its
charter.
In comparison it seems that the US media is seriously beholden to various
commercial and political pressures.
