<sigh> more heads in the sand. Do you want a balkanized Internet
that consists of one for the U.S., and a second for the rest of the
world, without connectivity for us? That's what will happen if the
other countries who now see this as a "mission-critical" issue for
their future aren't willing to let us continue to run it unchecked,
and we continue not to give even an inch over the issue. Moreover,
we let our religious right dictate "in-your-face" policies, such as
the bold sudden negation of the well-set .xxx domain. Wake up!

No, even if your heads are in the sand, understand: We do need any
moderating influence available, to try to hold the mess together.
Right now that's Masood Khan, ambassador from Pakistan. Sheesh,
wake up folks! I for one want to continue to be able to directly
sign on to Farnell's UK site, Philips' non-USA sites, etc., etc.
