Exactly. And raise money from Chinese shareholders. And move more of
their management there (purchasing already lives there).

I'm impressed with their efforts so far in China. You know when they
are offering FOUR different kinds of prepared chicken feet that all
the important decisions are not being made in Arkansas. Yet they
retain similar look and feel to their other stores. I've never been in
a European Carrefour store, but they also seem to be going gangbusters
in the Middle Kingdom (way more crowded than Walmart, but aimed at
higher volumes/lower prices), and reportedly also in Eastern Europe.
