Plus they can lay claim to such cultural icons as Aki Kaurismaki.
However, they are losing ground to the ex-communist states in one area
in which they used to lead-- now they are barely in the top 10 of
suicide rates (Lithuania, Russia and Belarus now hold the top 3
spots).
In fact, there may be a causal relationship between the cell phones
and the suicide rate:
