You mean why is it that 'liberal weenies' always resort to name
calling?
I don't know. Maybe it is just a 'weenie' thing.
Because they're trying to get through to the alleged brains of the
conservatives, who don't seem to be able/willing to comprehend any
more sophisticated means of communication.
don't think that liberals are any more adept at name calling. In fact,
I'd hazard an assertion that conservative commentators are far more
likely to attack using nasty personal attacks than any liberal
commentator I've seen. People like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Coulter, and
their tribe of wannabees are all too ready with the nasty insult. The
other side of the coin is the liberal Al Franken, who mostly uses a
pleasant, humorous tone, and lets the ironic truth of what he says
attack his opponents.
I listen to Al Franken daily. He and Win are cut out of the same cloth,
every other word is "liar" or "idiot" or "alcoholic".
However, I haven't caught Franken's show on Air America. I have read
several of his books, and they are all pretty tame. They two I've read
tend to use research to bash clowns like O'Reilly, Coulter, and Limbaugh,
but do it in a polite, mocking way. Pointing out the fact that these guys
make stuff up and misrepresent the truth isn't an attack on their
character, particularly if true. Sadly, Franken seems (at least in his
books) to have a firm, well researched basis for his claims, unlike the
guys listed above. If you are listening to Coulter or O'Reilly, you should
stop. They make stuff up, and misrepresent the truth.
His book called "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" does, in fact, call
Rush Limbaugh an idiot. (I have not read that one). However, the title is
a joke, based on the fact that Rush Limbaugh likes (or at least used to
like) to call people "big fat <whatevers>" on his show.
The same goes for "Lies, and the Lying Liars who tell them: A Fair and
Balanced look at the right". That is, of course, a joke about FOX's famous
motto about being "Fair and Balanced". I have read that one, and it lays
out the case that these FOX pundits lie fairly convincingly.
If you want to see the demonstrated lack of IQ in leftist weenies go
to...
http://st911.org/
I heard about it on leftist weenie radio today, quote, "The WTC fell
faster than gravity"... concluding that it must have been a neocon plot.
The site is unavailable...
There are idiots of all political persuasions, leftists included.
Conspiracy theorists have been mulling 9/11 over since it happened.
However, those are the same guys who are still talking about JFK and the
grassy knoll. They are kooks.
What is your estimation of the emotional IQ of the Republicans who 'went
to the defense' of Terry Shiavo? How about the ethical IQ of the
Republicans who took money from that sleezebag Abramoff and his friends,
and proceeded to let them write legislation and add clauses into
random bills that would benefit their clients at our expense? How about
the interpersonal IQ of the fools who got us into Iraq based on the
self-serving lies of that sleazy Ahmed Chalabi?
Now, these guys aren't raving lunatics, like the guys who put up that
silly site above. However, the raving lunatics aren't running the
country. Sadly, republicans with low emotional, ethical, and interpersonal
IQs seem to be...
And GOD DAMN IT, why the HELL can't they at least act competently with
regards to protecting our troops from IEDs? They seem to talk about
supporting the troops at every chance they get. Why do soldiers need to
buy their OWN BODY ARMOR? Why the HELL can't they at least get a
few stinking details right while they loot the treasury, listen to our
phone calls, pack the courts, and destroy all environmental law for their
lobbyist friends?
