Hello,

I am trying to build a circuit which will turn off the power supply to
my router once every now and then (e.g. I want to hard reset it once
every 4 hours when I am not at home).

Any ideas where I should start? The more common timer circuits seems
to need a trigger of some sort. Thanks!

CD4060 counter, from memory, might do the trick, clock it, derived
from the mains supply and select one of the outputs to pulse a mains
relay.

But maybe a less error prone router would be better.
