Hi all:
I have a project that uses transistor NTE199. In this transistor the
disposition of pins is strangely as it follows:
! ! !
! ! !
e c b
with the flat part in front of you. It is to say that in this
transistor the base is not at the center.
On the other hand the circuit says that a resistor must be connected to
the central pin of the transistor.
So the question is:
How to connect this resistor to the transistor.
1) To c
2) To b
Thanks in advance for any comment.
If the circuit you're looking at specified that the transistor be a NTE199 unit,
then connect the resistor to the center pin (Collector). If the circuit
specified a different transistor, and the NTE199 is a substitute, then you'll
have to research the originally specified part and see if the pinout is the same
as the NTE199 part. If they have the same pinout, then you're home free.
If different, then make the connection according to the specified part. That
is, if the center pin on the original part is the base, then connect your
resistor to the base pin on the NTE199.
Think, man!!! Use your skull for something other than a hatrack!!
