It downloads itself and then disappears? I wish I could write a BIG ?
Did it download itself, decide it was malicious and then remove itself or is
something else going on....?
Why.......
My estimate of what is going on with this particular one.
To try to cope with the increasing tide of scum-ware MS
appear to have written a little application that downloads
every month for most everybody getting MS updates.
It does a quick scan of your system looking for a small
specific list of scum-ware, deals with it if found, and
then doesn't leave itself on your system, running when
you don't know about it, it just scans, deals, exits and
is gone.
Next month they may change the list it looks for, hopefully
to at least look for the worst recent nasty scum. But it
is fairly small, downloads fairly quickly, scans quickly,
and cleans up afterself on the way out the door.
Hopefully this is finding and eliminating tens of thousands
of infections across the world every month.
