Thanks for the prompt answers. I had also thought about doing something
basic like this:

Use a heat sensor to switch on a fan(maybe a dc motor) when the
temperature crosses a point. And switch on a light and the fan when a
"door" opens. Would this be possible to implement in 10 days, by some
like me? :)
