The need for working space is what provoked my ignorant question of aI've ot a dual head video card, mainly for editing video, on 2
few weeks ago about collecting several icons under a single "topic"
icon.
Then I remembered folders could have an icon ;-)
I'm now down to 32 icons on the left side of the screen, down from 56.
(I had already moved 6 of my "regulars" to the left side of the tray
last summer.)

monitors. Recommended. Great for PCB work, one monitor for the
schematic, one for the PCB
If *only* I could move the the mouse pointer, over to a different
computer on the network, say my laptop, wow, bliss.
A bit like these guys have done

I'm doing that with an IOGear USB KVM, two desktops, a laptop and a
dangling cable for a "visitor".
Again, look at VNC. It'll do this with the mouse.
I am considering going the dual-head video... schematic on one
monitor, Probe simulation results on the other.
Trust me, you'll never go back to a single display! I've had dual-head
on my laptop at work for five years. I just got a 21" LCD monitor and,
WOW! I'm now pissed because I can't get it to work at home with SuSE
10.0 (was a piece of cake on 9.0).
Mark/qrk had such an arrangement running several years ago.
I had it working under NT4 at least six years ago. ...thsn I went to
Win2K and a laptop. Win2K is a little retarded here; the one place XP
works better.
