Hello Jim,

Arizona is ranked number _40_ in per capita taxes ;-)

Didn't you say a while ago that AZ got 'californicated' when it comes to
property taxes? I wonder if that is reflected in this statistic. For me
only the grand total of all taxes counts. Whenever Europeans say that we
live in a low-tax world and I begin aloud to run the math you can hear
some gasps or an "Ouch!" when property taxes are mentioned. They are sky
high in most of the US.

The other factor that will decide our next move is the biz climate. IOW
finding the area with the least amount of regulatory hurdles. And no
winter :-)

Ooh, Sioux City is looking really, really nice right about now.

Iowa is too blue for me. I grew up in Illinois, but live in Iowa? It's
more boring an IL!

I gotta satisfy my skiing fix.

For what you could save in taxes you could afford a few weeks in the
Canuckistan Rockys!

Meant to say Sioux Falls... but then I just talked to a co-worker who
said SD's all flat. I'd be cross-country skiing from home to the local
Wal-Mart...

Canuckistan Rockies... are those in Alberta?

Whistler resort is in BC, but I'm sure there are resorts in Alberta
too.
