craze to take away all tradition in the US... can't say "Merry
Christmas" in schools anymore :-(

Mainly because of the several religious festivals at the end of December
the Christian one is the most recent and takes things from many of the
others. Most of the things that make Christmas the festival you know are
not Christian or from the festival you think it is.

This got argued out in another NG recently. I don't mind Christians
wishing each other a Happy Christmas but don't force it on the rest of
us.



I generally accept well wishes of any kind. Personally i celebrate
Saturnalia about that time though.

I prefer the Bacchanalia myself ;-)
