Regarding my slow modem (dialup) connections (~21.6 kbps), I called the
phone company, and they said, yup, there's a pair gain system in place.
What are my options at this point, if I want faster internet (40 kbps
would be great!) ?
Or do I *have* to look at DSL at this point?
Order isdn (maybe?) or dsl. Then cancell it a few months later. No guarantees
though.
All depend on your situation. I would go for dsl anyway as it makes things
much more smooth. My modem collects dust in the in-case-of-failure-drawer :)
