Re: *help* error on NGs

When first visiting many but not all NGs, nothing comes over the modem and the computer waits "forever" for the highlighted message to appear.
If i try various messages, that problem continues, until i get an Alert saying "A news (NNTP) error occurred. Too Many Connections {Dialup-Level3 allows 4 per host/0 per feed (0==nolimit)] (Tornado v1.0.5.360"
What the hell do i do to fix this crap?
well i had a problem with that also and this is the scoop.
first of all, the "Supper News" server does and has been
loosing the link now and then also, i had a problem with
my Cable modem that was making it much worse at the time.
finally the modem did die!, i replaced the modem and the
NEWS server was back to tolerable levels.
it appears the server is not very good at recovering
from link errors and time outs.
now with the new modem i can use it but now and then still
get a Time out, or server not responding etc..
