Hello
I am designing a tube amplifier, and I need to make/buy a transofmer that
provide about 350-400v. Where would I find such transformer, or the
magnetic
core at least?
Lots of places cater to tube audio builders. Try www.tubesandmore.com for a
start. If they don't have it, they can probably direct you to someone who
has.
Also, Googling at random, I find these:
http://www.thlaudio.com/jamesPowerxformer.htm
http://www.belfuse.com/SignalTransformer/
The latter is a very well-respected transformer company.
Beware of absurdly high prices for things marketed to audiophiles. (There
are people who will charge you $500 for a power cord.) Deal with a major
transformer company, or at least find out what its prices are, so you don't
get taken.
