I'm glad European countries have laws to protect people's privacy,

that this information is not available except to police with court
warrants.

Actually the European countries want to archive all electronic traffic
for up to seven years - just in case - and are passing laws to that
effect. One wonders what the point was in removing the Berlin wall
when all we will achieve is to move it more to the west.
