Cute, but inaccurate. The Nazis were socialists. Remember,
Nazi = Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei
= National Socialist German Worker's Party.

Hardly your stereotypical Republicans.

By contrast, the communists in divided Germany euphemistically called
their land the DDR, (Deutsche Demokratische Republik, or 'The German
Democratic Republic').

IOW, over there, the socialists fancied themselves Democrats.
