Job Summary/Purpose:
This position is for a three month technician position on Product
Engineering team. The candidate technician will apply broad
electrical, RF, and mechanical skills to the design validation,
qualification, and regulatory compliance testing of RFID reader
products, generation and release of engineering documentation, and
transitioning of RFID reader products into volume manufacturing in
compliance with ISO and product lifecycle requirements.
Summary of Duties/Responsibilities:
· Set up, conduct, and analyze/document results from DVT (e.g.
performance and environmental), system-level, and/or application-level
testing reader products.
· Define and execute tests to satisfy regulatory and safety
requirements to support foreign and domestic reader product shipments.
· Collaborate on preparation and release of ECOs, BOM's,
deviations, and related product documentation into document control and
Oracle systems.
· Collaborate on reader prototype and pilot builds through
process and test support, troubleshooting, and interaction with
manufacturing partners.
Skills:
Broad technical skills, experience, and familiarity with electrical,
RF, and mechanical technologies are sought, including:
· Ability to set up and conduct lab tests, and analyze and
document results with minimal engineering supervision.
· Proficiency with electrical and RF laboratory
instrumentation such as spectrum/network analyzers, power meters,
oscilloscopes, and DVM's.
· Electrical and RF troubleshooting skills, including ability
to read schematics and assembly process experience with ESD sensitive
devices.
· General PC data and word processing skills, including
proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and
similar software for collecting/analyzing data and generating documents
is required.
· Good written and oral communication skills and the ability
to effectively apply them in a team environment.
· Experience with mechanical drafting/design/mark-up with
AutoCad is beneficial.
