I believe that Iran is trying to get nuclear weapons.
They've learned the lesson of Iraq and N Korea - that actually
possessing nukes is a guarantee not to be invaded. And this is the only

Dirk
They might be, and that is too bad. It does worry me.
But who made the US Ruler of Planet Earth?
---
We (the US) did, of course.
Did you think the role was handed to us on a silver platter?
Since the second time we came out of neutrality and got involved in
the *** Europe got itself embroiled in and the crap the Japs
started, we've been, essentially, the police force for the world
because no one else had the resources or the resolve to take on the
job. Funny, it's: "Thanks, America, but what you done for us
lately?" Well, let's see... The first thing I can think of is
keeping the Soviet Union from enslaving you all because of _our_
nuclear deterrent. Do you think you would have fared better under
Soviet domination than under the rather more laissez-faire attitude
of the US?
Excellent. Gimmie the good ol' USA any day!
Very well put, John.
Think again.
Have we made mistakes? Sure we have.
Will we make mistakes again? Sure we will.
Nuke Tehran. Apologize. Move on. Ooops... :-]
But at least we're taking an active role in trying to make the world
a better place for _everybody_ to live in than merely whining about
how bad everything is.
Oh... I forgot. There are hundreds of thousands in Iran that don't
follow that terrorist *** that is running it right now.
Think about this: What do you think would happen if we weren't
here?
We would not be alive, or not be speaking english, that's for sure.
