It was administered by the British ( since WW1 ) under a UN mandate.

Since as long as anyone knows. It's actually the Jews who were the newcomers for
the most part ( on account of immigration ).

Most Jews and Moslem Palestinians traditionally come from the same genetic group.
There are of course many Jews now with European 'blood' in them though.

See, I inferred from Hovnanian's statement the hoary old "ancestral
homeland" argument, and I want to know _whose_ ancestors lived there and
for how long, and what about before then?
