The apologests can say what they want but many present day US Repugs do have
a lot of these traits in common. Many of them would like a one party system.

How many? More than Democrats who would like to be the dominant party?
Doesn't Nancy Pelosi want to control both Houses and the Presidency? I
can't recall any political party that wanted to lose, can you?

They definitely are authoritarian, nationalistic, militaristic and very much
anti-liberal.

The Dems are all that, except anti-conservative. So far, your
criticisms are purely partisan. Don't you remember the ludicrous and
hilarious "Reporting For Duty" parody that lost the last Presidential
election?

Putting simple minded, black and white labels on things is a
Bush trait.

Arguable bad, from your perspective. But liberals have an equally bad
disease that I call the TACI Syndrome: they are paralyzed to act
because That's A Complex Issue.
