However you cut it, the US IS, de facto, the superior power in the world
at present, and that DOES give it moral and social obligations, many of
which are discharged in respect of Africa, partly by the US government
but to a much greater extent in the form of charitable donations by US
citizens.

I wish that US actions in the role of police chief were a bit more
intelligent, but the I look at our most prominent police chief and
