Yes, they declared war, because 5 days ago, there was no such thing as
Israel, and the land they declared a nation on, was part of another
country. And how did they get that land, by asking nicely? No, they
used weapons. And then, rather than anyone calling them terrorists or
mentioning anything about disarmament, they supported them.

Maybe you will understand it another way. Let's say a group of people
comes over to your hometown with weapons, kicks you out, and declares
an independent nation called Hamas, right there where your house was 5
days ago. When exactly will we start calling you a terrorist for trying
to get it back? In fact, never mind getting it back, how about when
will you just stop building weapons?
