I did but was planning to consider those aspects of his requirement later. In
fact I was also going to discuss the alternative use of electret capsules since
carbon mics are no longer used AFAIK.

Does anyone do 'optical' microphones, where the movement of a mirror etc
is measured by bouncing light off it or fringe counting in an
interferometer?
