recommendations for a printer, or printers?

I would like to buy a laser printer to replace my existing printer, for
printing PCB layouts onto transparencies.
I am looking for one that:
- is cheapish
- can be driven from linux
- has accurate reproduction (i.e. no stretching), or can be calibrated.
Yes it can be done in software but this is a PITA.
Also, has anyone tried using one of these printers capable of printing
onto DVDs to print silkscreens onto PCBs?
Mick.
