I could go on and on, but why don't you tell us what you don't like
about our movies, OK?

IMO the US has a brilliant movie industry. Music industry is
top notch as well.

Great effects too. In Notting Hill, Hugh Grant walks across
a market. It's appears as one single camera shot, but it
shows all the four seasons, from autumn, winter, spring, summer.
It's so subtle, the first time I didn't even notice it.

Oops, www.imdb.com lists it as UK/US.

Sorry 'bout that ;)

haha, and dont forget a certain animation company in Bristol, good
stuff there!

There is a nice very long shot (time not camera) in Contact, with a
kid walking up the stairs, but I'm afraid it's probably been green
screened and mangled later in post production

There does seem to be a lot of US finance for UK made films, (which
say a lot about the UK) and so a UK made film can be called a US film
because of the finance.

Funny since the UK seems to buy all the US debt

wish I could understand this financial crap

It's an 'investment' !

Seems like every American owes ~ $30,000.

I have zero debt.

Your Government has spent that $30,000 for you ( in tax cuts and wars and the
like ). That $30,000 is in addition to any domestic debt.

So now you're an expert in international finance?

Too bad you failed to demonstrate your expertise in dealing with
energy in that shift register thread.
