Re: OT: Mozilla lost tons of email

Hello Jeff,

Meantime I figured it out. So, if anyone runs into the same problem
where the mail client will not show all email that it should
here is where I found help:

This restored the email file.

Cool. Bookmarked.

I had it all backed up but it would have left an ugly little gap in the
inbox. That would have meant starting a separate inbox which can be a
drag if I have to search for something later.

Guess I owe Captain Davis a beer.
But there is no link on his web space how to reach him
and at least thank him.

Those guys who keep berating Google Groups have you brainwashed.

I think Google groups is a good thing. Usenet would start to collect
dust without some new influx.

Your choices to deliver the accolades now are
hijack a thread to which he has posted
or ping him in one of the groups he haunts.

Well, I just publicly thanked him on the Seamonkey support forum. It
seems to be the busier one these days, so he'll see it. He's out here in
the West as well and I could kind of guess his email address but maybe
he wouldn't like that.

Look at the name of his website. It should give you a clue. It
appears that ATT uses the same setup as Earthlink. Look at the link to
my website in the header, and my Earthlink e-mail address.
