I thought it was more like 1/2 degree since 1900, or some such.

Last time I checked the world was about .6 degree C above the 1950-1980
average. Looks to me moving about a quarter of a degree C per decade in
the past couple of decades, admittedly less than my "degree per decade".
Maybe close to .4 degree F per decade in the past couple of decades.
