No, the fact that it didn't immediately come up doesn't matter. It
did come up, and what he actually added is a key question.

Of course it matters.

We have someone who is clearly having problems conveying what he
wants, and he compounds it by top-posting, so his replies are
not completely connected to the bits he is replying to.

This whole thread is about clarity. Formulating exactly what it
is he wants, asking the right questions. Top posting is not
about clarity.
