There is no smart pill...if so ...
I'll pop one to figure out if I should take more. :)
It's called chocolate. Comes in many varieties. Brand choice can make a
performance difference.
There's some very intelligent people on here and I wonder if it's
partly due to lifestyle...
Are electronic designers getting exercise and eating "mentally"
healthy foods to stay mentally sharp?
I've noticed no discernable difference between Macca's
breakfast/lunch/dinner Dave (younger, nerdier), and all organic food
super fit gym junkie 3 protein drinks a day Dave (older, less nerdy).
The extra muscle mass increases metabolism which means I can safely eat
MORE chocolate to improve my performance ;-)
Also....
I did some reading long ago on attention span... IIRC it matches the
duration of TV shows..about 45 minutes.
I sometimes hack on the same circuit for hours.. But I have to wonder
about my mental performance during those hours...
I've done 2 days straight coding without sleep in my younger days, but
now I have the attention span of a jackrabbit. I'm pretty sure
attention span drops in proportion to age!
Maybe it was best during the first 45minutes?
How do you stay sharp?
I just did a canyon this morning before work. A 30m waterfall abseil
before work really does lift the spirit.
Recommended.
