As much as I dislike Hillary, I think our worst-ever President was
Carter.
...Jim Thompson
Why? Because he enforced reduced speed limits in a foresighted attempt
to reduce dependence on foreign oil? I think he's one of the few
Presidents you can be proud of. After all he had a 3 digit IQ.
Apparently he was too good for the job.
Carter was and is an idiot.
creating the 55 MPH NMSL was the primary reason for the loss of lane
discipline,a major reason we have so many left-lane blockers and lousy
drivers today. It encouraged ignoring the law.
The NMSL didn't achieve anything.US automakers still went on producing
gashogs, while the Japanese made fuel-efficient autos, and now look at who's
in the lead in US auto sales. Many US citizens believe US automakers still
cannot build a decent small car.It seems to take joint operations with
Japanese companies to achieve what "Detroit" builds today.
