which is **more mainstream**,
has gained a signifcant number of users,
and is made by some other Frogs (with worldwide input):

Another gratis and libre ECAD suite is gEDA
(if cost is your chief concern). http://www.geda.seul.org
Has anyone found out how to print to a USB printer from this program ?It shouldn't be any different from any other printer
--unless your device driver is borked.
Have you tried to print to another printer
or a Convert-to-PDF utility?
