In the UK ebay group some time ago it was concluded that ebay (and
paypal) 'customer service' is actually no more than clever bots.

'Orange' customer support was a program. Finally cracked it by sending 'em
queries composed of Latin or random gibberish but containing one real
keyword amongst the rubbish, eg "Outlook" or "modem", the single word would
trigger their program to provide an automated, precomposed, so called
"reply" from a list of about ten.
Arrogant, patronising, bastards.
