How many guns are fired with a cool head aside from on the range
?

How many people have a cool head when they lose control of their
car?

What an utterly ridiculous comparison.

They are quite the same thing.

No they aren't. What a ridiculous assertion.

Practice makes perfect.

Where do practice crashing your car ?

Graham

One does not pratice at failure to control the vehicle. One pratices
controlling the vehicle optimally, to thus preclude, prevent, or worst
case
minimise crash severity. For motorcycle operators this amounts to learn
this or die.

How are you going to know the limits if you don't go past the limits?
And how will you learn to recover from a slide if you never slide?

You do it under conditions where you do not represent any added hazard to
others, their property, your vehicle or yourself (and occaisionally your
instructor). Like, out in empty parting lots, both paved and not, etc.,.

Granted, motorcycles are different.
