It still has issues with shorts when you move parts, net renaming and
attributes but is sorta usable.
Unfortunately it is what many engineers learn so I am forced to often
use it since my clients use it.
I do most of my layout work with PADS PCB. I prefer to use PADS Logic
for the front end but will use OrCAD if they request. I charge extra for
OrCAD because of the issues.

Orcad was ALWAYS awful. I used the DOS verson sometime in the early
90's, I could not stand it. Other than terrible bugs (can you really
say that though?), I liked the later versions better. I bet I still
have a copy of th DOS manuals around here somewhere though.
Today, if I hated Windows that bad, I certainly would rather move to
linux than keep DOS around.

PADS is my favorite, too. The on the fly autorip-up for rerouted
traces is glaringly absent in other packages. I liked Veribest, and
some of those features are now in PADS since they were "absorbed".
I still get LOTS of Eagle garbage. Hate that program. And just had in
a WinQCad job of all dang things! Can't believe people choose to use
that crud.
