My first calculation with the .22 and the bowling ball - which I asked
you to compute, which you refused to compute - assumed the bullet hit
dead center and embedded itself in the ball.

"Assume" doesn't mean guess or bluster or argue in this context. It
means a clear statement of the problem, to remove any ambiguity, so
one can go ahead and crunch the numbers. I could assume the bullet is
rubber, hits dead center, and bounces straight back; that would lead
to a different velocity and a different energy imparted to the ball.
