I'm working on a project which requires me to design and construct a
pulse code modulator for voice. I need to find out the different ways
possible for implementing this. Please I need information on this.
1. Find a PC that will still run DOS.
2. Lash up a mic preamp and comparator, to square up your voice waveform.
3. Hook the comparator output to the printer port interrupt.
4. Every time there's an interrupt, save the timer's current count,
and reset the timer. Save these values to a file.
To playback, write a timing loop that takes the time values recorded
in step (4) above, and toggle the computer speaker on each transition.
Good Luck!
