Guns are totaly safe without bullets.

That's BTW not quite so. IIRC it was somewhere back east. A guy hit
another over the head with the shaft of a large pistol. Cracked his
skull, died in the hospital.

The dreaded 'blunt object' beloved of crime films. It was Professor Plum in the
Library with the lead pipe.

I think the UK gun crime figures include such stuff separately too.
