OK, i took the plunge in "filtering" messages.
But it does not work; some i tagged as "mark as read" and others
"delete".
I even closed the browser (Netscape 7.2) and re-started it.
My experience so far is that "filters" is, to be polite, fantasy.

Any ideas / suggestions as how to do it?

What OS/browser/newsreader/other?
