Re: OT: Health Cost Was: My continuing saga with power supply bypassing

Is it just me, or is the a fairly recent phenomenon? It seems most of this
has happened in the last 5 years or so. I'm seeing young teenagers now that
are carrying more weight than I thought possible. If you consider a normal
weight to be a kayak, some of the girls are up in the battleship or
aircraft carrier category.

Sadly, a lot of them have children. No education, no job, no prospects, no
brains, and kids to feed.

Another sad byproduct of the "Politically correct" world. Its
"Wrong" to tell them what to do, and what not to do.

Two people I worked with at my last job were both over 300 pounds,
and their 10 year old daughter was over 260 pounds. Her dad had to have
heart bypass surgery, and ended up on long term disability. His doctor
told him to stick to his prescribed diet and lose weight, or to not come
back. The last time I saw him he was under 200 pounds, and had flaps of
loose skin.
