Question to the road warriors among you: How do you synchronize email
between your laptop and the PC at your office after you return from a trip?
don't know what client you're using, but i'm using thunderbird. i
don't leave messages on the pop server. sent message get stuck in the
sent folder or are filtered to appropriate mail folders. i use vice
versa pro for file sync (email and everything else). before i leave
home and when i return, i sync the machines. works nice.
Is that the one by TGRMN Software?

This could indeed be a solution here. On the laptop I am using
Thunderbird, in the office Mozilla. And I guess that office client needs
to change for a sync program to work because their file systems seem
incompatible.

Can't you configure Thunderbird on your laptop to read your email and
leave it on the server?
I could but it's no longer necessary because I've set up two email paths. That way I can also spool emails onto my laptop just before a trip. When no trips are in the near future I temporarily turn the 2nd path off. Works only for incoming though, not for anything sent.
