Drug-related offenses = SELLING.
Not always.
ISTR a case where a worker in a factory was prosecuted and sent to prison
for simple possession of marijuana.
A while back I read an article stating that there was one, (that is
singular, Homer) person in the NYS prison system for nothing but drug
possession.
Oddly, the son of the factory owner who was caught more than once selling
cocaine was prosecuted differently and received probation.
Why is this odd?
The DA insisted that the fact that the factory owner had paid for the DA's
law school education had absolutely nothing to do with the difference in
treatment.
I'm sure he was correct. Everything is fine, nothing to see here, keep
moving along. Equal justice for all.
There will never be "equality" or "fairness" in anything, as long as
humans are involved. The only perfect one in the world is you;
perfect ***, that is.
