I put on my hip boots and waded thru some of the hits, and ther is no clue as to what was meant or the consequences of an unreadable "used" MFT record.
About the only thing was mention of a "change record table", which might record changes in an MFT - and if so, that might be a way of discovering if an MFT record had been "used" in the sense of "changed".

Thanks; i think i will just ignore the stupid error message.
