Just use a spring return spdt toggle.
Toggle to test.

o<--o---- to DUT

Gnd ---+-------- to DUT

To put the meter into practice, in a service bench environment, you're
typically using test probes with both hands.

How to operate such a switch? A foot switch maybe?
