Yeah about as proud as the rest of us are of Johnson, Carter and
Slick!

How about that Johnson! Got us into "nam with a bunch of lies after a
campaign promising NOT do that. Had Goldwater setting off bombs to
start WWIII in campaign ads and then when Johnson wins, he almost
immediately goes about starting WWIII! Yeah, right, a huge
confrontation between us and the USSR by proxies in South East Asia
could never lead to all out war by some mistake, could it? And then
Nixon does the "cut and run" thing in "nam like so many are hungering
for now in Iraq. Oh, if ONLY we could see those great photos of the
last few Americans being helicoptered off the tallest building in
Beirut as Al Qaeda moves in machine gunning any Iraqui suspected of
being "friends" with "satan America". Yeah, that ought to really stop
the killing as well as give us the kind of massive influence in the
middle east the viet nam war ended up giving us in southern Asia.
Feh!

Sure who cares if America goes down the tubes so long as Dems win the
Whitehouse? Let the next President fix the mess. (Which interestingly
seems to be the SAME principle that Bush has been using, except for
party name, natch)
