So can you explain the way in which the IPCC alleges CO2 controls atmospheric
water vapour concentrations ?
On basis of this and what I heard before, I suspect the reason is
"positive feedback mechanism".
Which I might allege is as big a bunch of BS as is the CO2
"greenhouse" effect.
There are CLEARLY political goals here shading all arguments. I've
notice the "Feedback" arguments starting to appear once it was pointed
out that CO2 causality was being touted backwards (purposely, I
believe).
Same as how over most of the past few ice ages, atmospheric CO2 content
has fair appearance of slightly lagging solar radiative heating of Earth
area other than the most-permanent icecap area, and being a positive
feedback mechanism (from heating of oceans causing them to have reduced
ability to dissolve CO2).
Note the following: A warmer ocean holds less dissolved CO2. So
Algore's CO2 chart is really showing the effects of ocean temperature
on atmospheric CO2 concentration. But it's always "explained" as if
the reverse were true! The CO2 chart shows "Global Warming" [or at
least ocean warming which is a pretty good indicator of average
climate] is real! It does NOT show that CO2 levels CAUSE global
warming. CO2 cannot have enough effect to do that! Note that as you
heat water it tends to raise the vapor pressure of WATER above as
well. And the AGW reports have also cleverly covered CO2 effects with
water vapor effects.
Only this time (roughly past century), CO2 rise in the atmosphere is
being accompanied by net transfer of CO2 from atmosphere to ocean and not
the other way around.
Only if the Laws of Physics have suddenly changed!
I Don't expect the AGW crowd to just cave on these issues. They have
WAY too much political capital invested in the scam to just walk away
at this point! Expect sudden shift in stories and arguments, but basic
sell will be the same.
Examine carefully the political propaganda here:
Fact: Global Warming is REAL. It has been observed on several planets
in addition to Earth. Nobody is really sure of the cause.
Politics: Large push of groups to deny that global warming is real.
This creates doubt about the science involved and discredits it. This
opens door to a debate that can end with a "compromise" in the
direction originally sought!
Fact: "Greenhouse gas" effect CANNOT have enough magnitude to create
climate change at the levels observed.
Politics: Old school bait and switch: Media with one voice intoning
that "all" scientists agree that Global Warming is real...and then
immediately imply that they ALSO agree (sorry we do NOT!) that CO2 is
the cause of AGW. Very Clever propaganda. And now they've invented
the mythical "feedback" to help account for the fact that straight
"greenhouse" can't possibly do it.
Fact: Rising charts showing CO2 levels really are showing dissolved
CO2 being forced from the oceans by rising water temperature.
Politics: Chart is turned on it's head by claiming that the observed
rising CO2 levels are CAUSE of Climate change rather than the RESULT
of it! Gullible public buys it if the talking head news anchor uses a
forceful enough mater-of-fact tone. And That's the way it IS!
At first when AGW "scientists" were asked about dissolved CO2 being
forced from the Ocean, they simply stonewalled the questions. Now that
the word is getting around they are saying it is some kind of
"feedback" effect that greatly increases (the already too small)
results of the CO2 "greenhouse". Sorry, it's all just a lot of fancy
hand-waving to save the fact that they were caught in a lie. And you
damn well better HOPE they are lying. If the "feedback effect" is
real, the system could easily become unstable and earth climate would
go totally nuts. It's the nature of "positive feedback". We all would
be VERY unhappy should that happen.
