I do believe that they are right most of the time, and generally err
by being over-cautious.

You, on the other hand, seem to be a sucker for any pseudo-expert who
produces a story that you happen to like.

And I don't know how you get suckered into argumentation with such
obviously insignificant and deviant mental midgets. It is like arguing
over the economic control policy of the Federal Reserve with a brain
damaged homeless person living under a bridge.

This is America, dammit, where the opinions of everybody who reads a
three year old unsourced oped rant containing multiple assertions
which have since been widely debunked elsewhere, were there any effort
to check, parroted by an infotainer pundit chosen as an authority
figure precisely because his conclusions on any subject are
predictable a priori by his political affiliation, are not only equal,
but superior to those of any number of professionals who have worked
in the field under discussion their whole lives and made actual
contributions to human knowledge. Why? Because not only are they
contaminated by that book-larnin, they are just trying to maintain
their vast power and wealth and cushy lifestyle as scientific
researchers.
