John
Good stuff, like

"But military intelligence bears the same relation to
intelligence as military music bears to music."

He certainly has some nice sounding one-liners in there. What he
mostly ignores, and what many others ignore to a much greater
degree, is that if the global warming theories are wrong, and we
reduce emissions, we're out
of some luxury items. If they're right, and we keep the party
going, the hangover is going to be lethal.

Frankly, I think that in 500 years there will be fewer people on
earth, and each one of them will have significantly less access to
resources than
we do. Whether it's from climate change, famine, or plague I
don't believe it's a question of _whether_ this is going to
happen, it's just a
question of how sudden and severe the transition is going to be.
We have to decide if we want to bring the plane in for a soft
landing or if we want to try to keep flying level until it stalls
and crashes.

Need to learn how to apply control theory in your embedded system?

You neither read it very well or understood the points he was
making. How much does anybody know about the carbon stores?
