they sure the hell don't. you've got the tail wagging the dog. the
researchers have to scrabble for external grant money; if they don't
get it, the school sure hasn't got the bucks to cover them for more
than a short emergency subsistence period. Tenure is another thing,
but it's got no relevance to the argument that "scientists can't get
funded if they don't believe in AGW"
And I'm still waiting to hear about the giant grants environmental
groups are giving to researchers who believe in AGW.
And for that matter, I'd love to see some actual research from those
'what climate change' "scientists" who are collecting all the 'what
climate change' money. Whatever it is they're being paid for, it isn't
research. And just let me point out beforehand, that counting the
number of published papers state explicitly "i heartily endorse the
notion of AGW" doesn't count as climatology research.
