Actually, if you look at a mature forest (of any type) they tend to be
carbon neutral. They system only is a carbon sink when it is comprised
of new growth.


And in a sanely managed tree farm, anywhere from 5-10% of the plants at
any given time are _brand new_, seedlings, replacements for the ones that
have been harvested. So, in essence, the majority of it is new growth,
during its maturation from seedling to timber grade.

But cut off their CO2 supply and even the old growth will suffocate.

Why do they think that's a good thing? Why do they think milder weather
is a bad thing?

Well, those are rhetorical questions, the answer is obvious - they're
insane.
